Canadian Friends of Ukraine is the only North American organization to produce an historic film featuring one-on-one interviews with Ukraine's leading presidential candidates during the tumultuous 2004 election campaign.
The unique full-length documentary debuted in Canada, and excerpts of the film were televised in Ukraine. The 77-minute film, entitled "Ukraine on the Eve of the 2004 Presidential Election", is the only movie of its kind, featuring in-depth interviews with Viktor Yushchenko, Viktor Yanukovych, Oleksandr Moroz, Oleksandr Zinchenko (chair of the Yushchenko campaign), and Canadian Ambassador Andrew Robinson.
The film is all the more significant, since the interview with Viktor Yushchenko was taped in Kiev just hours before his infamous poisoning.
